As a storyteller, I deeply resonated with this book. I don't usually make notes, even with pencil, but after five chapters I went back to the beginning, and started making notes. Each chapter gave me a whole lot to think about. Sometimes I paused reading for days or weeks. Sometimes I cried. Sometimes I furiously circled entire sentences and made YES notes. I reiterated and reassessed my whole entire myth and folktale repertoire. This book gave me a lot. A whole lot. It should be universally read. And discussed. And read again.
