so, I'm pretty sure that I've read this one before too. but sometime before I started recording my books on Goodreads, which means sometime between it's publication in 2014 and 2017, I also think I've read the next one (A Closed and Common Orbit which came out in 2016) as well, as I just mainlined right through series' back then, but those were likely the only two available.

but FAR too much is reeeely familiar, and the disconnect between having read it on (likely) paper vs listening to it now means that my brain isn't pulling the memories up cleanly. also, it was long enough ago that a lot has just generally faded.
