Apollo reviewed Into the Broken Lands by Tanya Huff
A Stunning Fantasy
5 stars
Into the Broken Lands is a brilliant fantasy that introduces a fascinating landscape and comments on the responsibility of the stewardship of knowledge in a way that struck me as akin to the best parts of Walter M. Miller Jr.'s Saint Liebowitz novels. Huff's characteristic humour is muted here, but the seriousness and peril of this novel are expertly presented.
