A perfectly executed follow up to the Age of Myth. I was fully invested in the characters early on, and was happily carried along on their journeys with them as they grew and met the challenges in their paths. One of the best 2nd books in a series I've read in a long time, and that is quite a list. A truly wonderful ensemble cast of characters made this a joy to read.

In a word, Fantastic. I love the setting, the characters are well crafted and feel real. The action sequences flow very well, and the prose just works flawlessly. It doesn't get better than this.

Short spoiler free review, I really loved this book, it's a perfectly crafted conclusion to this saga. I wasn't 100% sold on the first volume, even though I enjoyed it, it didn't really speak to me or knock my socks off. With the second volume however, I found my groove and got invested in the lives of the Sisters of Sweet Mercy. This third novel brought all the tangled ends together in a thoroughly satisfying culmination. Well done.
