Chenyu J commented on Gather together in my name by Maya Angelou
Powerful story and compelling storytelling! one of the things that strikes me the most is the self-respect Maya Angelou had for herself in the world where black women were utterly marginalized. She knew who she was, and she walked with her head up, no matter what. That is simply transcendently awe-striking and inspiring

Chenyu J finished reading The Lady Waiting by Magdalena Zyzak (ISBN 9780593542941)
