Great characters. Awesome worldbuilding with lots of tension in the history and society. The next book in the series apparently won't be out for a while, but I'm so excited for when it drops.

The quotes were compelling, but some of the commentary was off, maybe too specific to certain situations? Still, this was a good "sample box" of Stoic philosophy and gave me some idea of what to expect when I look up the sources. Recommended for absolute beginners.
