I loved Dutton's "The Wisdom of Psychopaths". Let's see how this one goes.

rafadc reviewed The Scout Mindset by Julia Galef
An interesting book about changing opinion
5 stars
The book puts in contrast "soldier mindset" and "scout mindset" as ways to both defend your ideas or check if your ideas are actually correct. It is a nice text on being aware on why often lie to ourselves in order to avoid uncomfortable changes in world view.

rafadc finished reading Clear Thinking by Shane Parrish
It was a nice read. It may have no novel concept at all but it is a delightful compilation of important learnings from other places. I see it may be used in two ways:
As a shallow introduction to a lot of different books that you can afterwards read. You will find easily 20-25 books to dig deeper into all the subjects here.
As a refresher for a lot of different things.
I've enjoyed every second of it.
rafadc finished reading Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson
Well... It explains a lot of things. XD
Walter Isaacson is an amazing biographer. He can speak about anyone from what I find to be a wonderful realistic perspective. Avoiding being perplexed by the bells and whistles is something necessary to write this kind of works.
There are a lot of learnings in this book. Do not let love or hate for the main character eclipse a good learning.
