I loved Dutton's "The Wisdom of Psychopaths". Let's see how this one goes.
The book puts in contrast "soldier mindset" and "scout mindset" as ways to both defend your ideas or check if your ideas are actually correct. It is a nice text on being aware on why often lie to ourselves in order to avoid uncomfortable changes in world view.
It was a nice read. It may have no novel concept at all but it is a delightful compilation of important learnings from other places. I see it may be used in two ways:
As a shallow introduction to a lot of different books that you can afterwards read. You will find easily 20-25 books to dig deeper into all the subjects here.
As a refresher for a lot of different things.
I've enjoyed every second of it.

Walter Isaacson is an amazing biographer. He can speak about anyone from what I find to be a wonderful realistic perspective. Avoiding being perplexed by the bells and whistles is something necessary to write this kind of works.
There are a lot of learnings in this book. Do not let love or hate for the main character eclipse a good learning.
