This is a very comforting and cozy novel which has death as one of its main themes. The characters are lovely and fun to read about.
However, this novel is very very similar to the House in the Cerulean Sea. The characters themselves, the relationships between the characters, and even the character development were all very alike. For me this made the novel less exciting and original, and was a little of a disappointment… So this could be something to keep in mind if you have already read that novel.
Even though it is very much alike to the House in the Cerulean Sea, the novel itself is nice so therefore 4 stars and also very nice to listen to!

The first part of the novel I found bleak, and depressing, but as the story unfolded, Nora became more cheerful, and I started to like the novel more and more. The idea about parallel universes which are created when we make certain choices is an idea that is find extremely interesting, and I think Matt Craig explored this idea nicely. However, the general storyline was predictable, and I saw the ending coming from early on in the novel.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this novel so a 3,5 stars !
