unexpectedly reminded me of The Midnight Gospel, I suppose because of the near-death experience, the departures from reality, the focus on absurdity, and the main common thread being the lonely storyteller protagonist, who often isn't the center of action or attention
It's great to see more storytelling about these issues, and the range of specific topics, styles, and activists included is amazing. However, it felt scattered, the nonprofit profiles were formulaic, and some of the claims lacked nuance.
