This is YA written for a YA audience, yet it has a very different flavor than many other YA books. It lacked the usual cringe inducing, teens being stupid and mean to each other trope. No one is just a bully, or just selfish, the teens and grownups all have believable motivations.

Catfishing on Catnet really treats it's teens as Young Adults, it doesn't look down on them like so many other YA books do.
