This is perhaps the easiest culture novel to identify with.

Told from the point of view of a native experiencing the intervention of special circumstances, in is easy to identify with him and considering that the intervention is taking place in a civilization at the late medieval stage of development, it is easy to put yourself in the shoes of people from a more advanced culture as they attempt to intervene.
