Pier Luigi Luisi (born 23 May 1938) graduated in chemistry from the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, and is an Italian Professor Emeritus from the ETHZ, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, where he worked as a scientist from 1970 till 2003-as full professor in chemistry since 1980- to move then to the university of Rome3 as Professor of Biochemistry, till 2015. He is now retired, his official being residence in Tavira Portugal, his post address is still in Rome, via della Lungara 3, 00165 RM, which is the seat of the APS (Association for Social Promotion) Cortonafriends, of which he is the President. In 1985 Luisi founded the "Cortona Week", an international, interdisciplinary summer school, under the general title " Sciences and the Wholeness of Life"-targeted mostly for graduate students and young managers, with the aim of forming a new class of society leaders, aware of the new frontiers of science, and also of the ecology, ethics and spirituality of life. In 2015, he started contributing on a monthly basis to the Wall Street International on-line journal, by publishing his more recent studies including philosophy of science and reportages. …
