Shraya weaves a passionate, contemporary love story between a man and his body, with a re-imagining of Hindu mythology. A poetic #ownvoices coming-of-age novel that explores identity and incorporates creative interpretations of traditional Hindu stories. Shraya's prose really hones in on how the same words can be used to degrade or to empower. Highly recommend the audiobook, narrated by the author.
