Not my general style, but given the world, it was kind of neat. I liked the portrayal of Marasi, and Wayne is kind of fun. I like that there were no wasted characters, and they all had relevant and important roles. I look forward to the future of the Marasi character, and I hope to see her in future books. Wax is way too overconfident, but he is certainly a strong character and protagonist.
The antagonist is scum, and he twists circumstances to fit his warped world view! His comeuppance is a desired and deserved thing!
