When Molly Wizenberg married Brandon Pettit, he was a trained composer with a handful of offbeat interests: espresso machines, wooden boats, violin-building, and ice cream-making. So when Brandon decided to open a pizza restaurant, Molly was supportive--not because she wanted him to do it, but because the idea was so far-fetched that she didn't think he would. Before she knew it, he'd signed a lease on a space. The restaurant, Delancey, was going to be a reality, and all of Molly's assumptions about her marriage were about to change.

I feel guilty. I love Wizenberg, and I started this book in May; I finally finished it today. This is weird, since I tend to finish a book within the same day as starting it. But I just couldn't get into it like [b:A Homemade Life: Stories and Recipes from My Kitchen Table|3090282|A Homemade Life Stories and Recipes from My Kitchen Table|Molly Wizenberg|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1347468210s/3090282.jpg|3121382].

It's less about food and more about the restaurant business. I wish she talked more about the food, but I kind of liked the end bits where she recounted her experiences with the different staff at Delancey.

Perhaps I'm too accustomed to fiction and intricate character development, but I found that Wizenberg would have a tiny passage about her marital issues, then abandon it. I realize that life is messy, but there needs to be some sort of closure or acknowledgement.
