The Victorian - Act I

Couldn't make it to the half-way point in this confusing, apparently pointless graphic novel. I realize that carrying on multiple plot threads simultaneously is rather in vogue these days, but here it's carried on to the point of obsession; it's like sitting in front of a TV while a seriously hyperactive child plays with the remote. Was that a meaningful bit of plot? CLICK! too late.

Oh, perhaps there's a complete plot point somewhere in there. But if the author didn't reach it half-way through the damned book...well, sorry, but at that point I started feeling abused.

Nice-looking art. Too bad there apparently wasn't a story to back it up.
