Every hero can be perfect and fit the bill if the author wills it to be so. If you call your guy a "crime reader", he can be a "crime reader" in the marketing even if nothing in the pages tells you so. I've read some great trash fiction in my time, this trash is barely fit for the trash in comparison . Zero Stars, Margaret.
