I thought this book was... alright. I guess I carried a bit too much anticipation about how magical and creative and life-affirming working at Pixar might've been as they prepared to release their first major motion picture with me into this book, but I was still a bit let down how much of the narrative focused on IPOs, underwriting/brokerage firms, name dropping of industry power players and those hoping to transition into a new line of work with the fledgling movie studio.
That said, I'm sure there's an audience for that side of the story; people that will be really interested to see this partnership with a bit of a defeated Steve Jobs, trying to prove to himself and the markets that he still knows how to innovate ... and to be sure, getting a bit of a peek behind the curtain was certainly interesting ... it just wasn't always …
