Call this score more of a 2 1/2 than a 3, but I want to be generous because sports writing in general is something that I’m really not into at all, and that’s exactly what this book is trying to emulate. It’s a unique concept, and the story around Daigo’s Parry is something truly unique and interesting, even for people not well-versed in the competitive fighting game scene.

This books needed more revision work and edits, and some of the author’s writing can be a bit clunky.
