Even though they're twins, Lilly and David don't agree on much. During summer vacation their whole group of friends falls into a river and wakes up in a village of fantastic creatures. Hailed as magical spirits and threatened by lizards, they must find their way home - if they don't throttle each other first.

Review of 'Home time' on 'Goodreads'

An intriguing take on a few different genres, Home Time seems at first to be a cartoonish coming of age story before taking a hard left into children's fantasy, where it proceeds to take every turn away from the expected and into strange new places, blending political intrigue and thriller tropes with hints of dystopian fiction, sci-fi, adventure stories, and romance. All of this is told through a (perhaps) brilliantly thought out series of art styles that suggest Whyte is an even greater genius in his art than his writing.
