Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt, Vol. 1

This story set in the One Year War of the Universal Century (the original setting of Gundam) appears to take a look at the conflict in the Thunderbolt sector between a group of disabled Zeon warriors forming an experimental mobile suit sniper unit and a Federation unit made up of survivors from a destroyed Side, including the scions of some of the ruling families of the former Side.

This first volume introduces the main characters and situation getting straight into the action with just a couple of flashbacks to explain what has gone before. I'm not a huge fan of the character designs, but otherwise an enjoyable read, and I intend to check out the other volumes as they come out.
