Review of 'With the Old Breed' on 'Goodreads'

An excellent account of combat in the Pacific from an enlisted man's point of view. Highly recommended.

I have to note that I started reading this book in the Pacific TV tie-in edition, but switched over to the Kindle edition. The Kindle edition is lacking in several respects. There are several errors in the handling of footnotes. At least twice paragraphs were transposed between the main text and the footnotes, making both difficult to understand. At least once a footnote mark led to the wrong footnote. Also, while the maps from the print version are present in the Kindle edition, the photos are not.
