A creepy haunted house story that may be worth your time.
After a pair of sisters inherit a massive old house, one of the sister's convinces the other sister and her husband (and baby daughter) to move in and renovate the place. It has a nasty, unexplained history.
The author absolutely nails the feeling of dread and descriptions of the house and characters. Any time something was described I could clearly picture the imagery in my head. Impressively immersive.
While the character development and relationships were top notch, nothing much happens until the end of the book. Yes, the creepy feeling is there, you know something is going on, but you don't feel as if the characters are in (at least grave) danger until much later on.
Along with this, there was never much detail as to what actually is happening in terms of the demonic elements. More specific details …

I enjoyed the book enough to want to continue the series.
