very, very impressed by this trilogy. This last book offers an account of addiction that is written with a heavy lightness, with a harsh reality that seems to live itself in no lucid way. Often the story of romantic relationships and drugs can be told in a ''we've heard it all before'' kind of way, and even though the partnership with a psychotic partner is quite central to her addiction, it's told unlike any other account I've heard/seen/read before. Maybe it's just brutal honesty that does not try to be poetic, but is?
