Intriguing personal account

Unsurprisingly, this bio of the Senator has a partisan flavor to it (and given the publication date, not surprisingly anti-Bush Jr.), but it is a fascinating and plain-spoken account of Reid's early years (which he recounts both fondly and not fondly, not mincing words about the growing up in the decaying mining camp of Searchight) and his journey into politics.
