My slightly guilty pleasure is that when I'm on an airplane trip, I read completely fluffy books like this one. For some reason I have trouble concentrating on anything deeper, so this is about the only time I pick up a cheap romance or gossip type book from the airport bookshop. In this case this book was a free download for my Nook, and has been sitting on it unread for months, so my trip home to Canada was the first time I was tempted to read it. Needless to say it's a light-reading bit of fluff which I finished easily before the plane landed. It's reasonably well written (relative to the genre) and kept me entertained on the plane without requiring any brain power, which is all I asked of it. Plot was fairly predictable and the main character was a bit annoying at times, but I wasn't expecting …
