it was an eye opener to be introduced to the common illusions that we all are get tricked into with out realizing. we are so confident that we are on the right side of the truth. the least we could so is realize that they exist and prepare ourselves to at least have the potential to doubt them.

Review of 'The invisible gorilla' on 'Goodreads'

First, go watch the short video of the original experiment the authors performed. It's the first video at this link: www.theinvisiblegorilla.com/videos.html

I picked up this book after watching that video, and the book didn't disappoint. It's a reasonably in depth look at just how unreliable our perceptions actually are, and how we fool ourselves into believing we know more than we actually do. I got the impression that the authors expected the reader to be rather more surprised at their facts than I actually was; I'm actually well aware of how abysmally inaccurate are my memories, so it was kind of reassuring to read that really everybody is just as bad! Either way, I found it an interesting and sometimes thought-provoking read, and would recommend it.
