An interesting book that uses Darwin's correspondence as a case study as genes using emotions as a tool that drives morality and subsequently it's own success at replication. I'm not however entirely sure about the leap between genetics and utilitarianism that the author makes a point of supporting, I find it to be quite a leap of logic there, I'll knock one star off for that. All and all a good start for discussion and further research of how much of human behavior is heavily influenced by base instincts masquerading as higher ideals.
