Esther reviewed Die kleine Patisserie in Paris by Julie Caplin (Romantic Escapes, #3)
Love story in Paris
A farm girl needs to go to #Paris to help at a patisserie workshop, and we do not only get to know the protagonist and her love interest: Caplin also lovingly presents the group of people who take part in the workshop and I really liked them!
Reading this novel is especially nice if you know your French patisserie.
In this novel, Julie Caplin explores the topic of families and independence. The protagonist is the youngest of four children and wants to find her own way. I couldn't help but feel that the person the author had in mind was much younger than the protagonist, who is supposed to be in her early thirties.
The novel is the third part of Julie Caplin's Romantic-Escapes-series, but it can be read independently - none of the characters of the first two novels appear.
