In a near-future fascist takeover of Canada targets queer people, communities of colour and the disabled. Those who escape the labour camps form a resistance to fight back and save others; a trans/BIPOC army to bring down the government.

I found the themes here very dark, visceral and depressing, but with a thread of hope throughout particularly on how white cis liberals can come to understand (too late) their role in being a meaningful ally to true equality and address their own prejudices. it gives pretty much everyone their own arc of understanding their role in the wide world and what they can do to help those around them.
