Review of 'Tombstone' on 'Goodreads'
1 star
If Tombstone is one of your favorite films, you'll probably love this book. If you're hoping for any serious insight into the nature of "law and order" in the American settler-colonial state or the role of vigilante justice in upholding it, you're going to be disappointed. It's not clear why this book even needed to be written; did the world really need another recitation of conventional wisdom on the Earps? It didn't need to be a Marxist analysis and I didn't go into the book expecting one, but I constantly found myself frustrated with the author's obvious bias and unexamined assumptions.
