anka.trini reviewed A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen (Saga of the Unfated, #1)
Lost potential
3 stars
Actually, this book only deserves two stars but I can't bring myself to a lower rating than three because it started out so great and could've been the perfect read for me.
Freya is just hands down stupid. It's been quite a long time since I read from a female main character that doesn't seem to use her brain once. There were also some inconsistencies and things that didn't add up. I saw the plot twists coming from miles away and there was only one detail I hadn't figured out beforehand.
I still have high hopes for the next book in this series, though. Jensen might still turn things around and make this series actually amazing.
