Written by someone who is still a little too bitter about the way very smart girls are treated in life. Genius chemist Mom has to forgo a career because....why? Plot point?
The book is not really sci-fi. I think it is more about how we spend time. Maybe about time and touch? It is a good meditation on this...perhaps better than taking a local bus in the wrong direction (I'm looking at you, Camus).
