The provocative and hilarious summer read that will have book lovers cheering and everyone talking! Kirsten Miller, author of The Change, brings us a bracing, wildly entertaining satire about a small Southern town, a pitched battle over banned books, and a little lending library that changes everything.

Beverly Underwood and her arch enemy, Lula Dean, live in the tiny town of Troy, Georgia, where they were born and raised. Now Beverly is on the school board, and Lula has become a local celebrity by embarking on mission to rid the public libraries of all inappropriate books—none of which she’s actually read. Beverly Underwood for President!!

A must read for everyone IMO. Its set in a small town called Troy and is full of hope. The characters, issues at hand, etc. Are so real and significantly relevant to the world today. Its not a complicated read and I appreciate that as this book needs to be accessible to readers of all kinds of reading competency. The themes may be complex or nuanced but it is written in a way everyone can understand. There is so much truth and power in knowledge. The world needs more Bella's, Bev's, and Lindsays. Wilma Jean Cummings is my favorite character. I can only aspire to be so awesome. Great read and nice contrast to today's current political climate. I hope the US can come together like Troy eventually.
