An interesting jump from 2 Serpents - it’s nice to see characters from the other books overlapping.

I didn’t love Izza for most of the book, plucky urchin wasn’t my favorite. The end also went a little fast to tie Teo and Cat into the plot.

I didn’t mind the relative lack of craft, but there also wasn’t much in the way of wizard-lawyering, which tends to be my favorite part of these books.

Anyway that’s just nitpicking, it’s a solid 4.

Love the way that everything comes around in this book to connect with the other books in the series. Very much looking forward to the next books in the series.

Continue to enjoy this series- nothing earth-shaking, but a fun world, with decently-drawn characters, that always talks about/works with the interesting central conceit (lawyers, bankers, etc. in a magical world) without rubbing your face in it.
