There were so many things I enjoyed about this novel, and many times caught myself grinning ear-to-ear as I read. There's how Cameron acts around Erika, for one, treating her like an actual human instead of being dismissive. There's also the humor Hailey North infuses the whole book with. Then Isolde, the young multicolored-haired nanny with an old soul, and Sunny, the housekeeper who just wants to see Jonni happy. Daffy, Jonni's twin sister, is a delight. Finally, there's the relationship between Jonni and Cameron. Sure, it starts off a little rocky, but it was fun to see rapport build between them, slowly moving from like/lust to love. The fact that Cameron appreciates that Jonni has curves is another plus! I also really liked that this novel didn't have the "betrayal" aspect that so many do. I don't have anything against it, but it was refreshing to read a romance without some massive miscommunication that threatens to ruin everything. Here they acted like adults, wanting to find their own way before committing to anything long-term.
This was a fun read, and if all North's romances are like this, I think I'll need to find more.
