I really enjoy The Tyrant Philosophers series.
The emphasis on the characters and their struggles, the different viewpoints on the same messy situation.
Old and new characters, loosing, winning, making progress, failing.
The first two novels in the series could be read on their own. Days of Shattered Faith feels more like part of a series that will continue.
