technicat reviewed Welcome to Chinatown by William Low
cute, picturesque book for kids or adults who only want to learn one or two words of Chinese
4 stars
This is a cute and colorfully illustrated book with thick cardboard (I don't know the proper term) pages, so it's a great coffee table type of book that at first glance looks like it's targeted to kids, with just a few pages and simple sentences and big print, but it doesn't really explain anything, so it could be applicable to adults who like big print books and just want to see a few words of Chinese (after reading, you might retain the character for fish but probably not the dozen characters for the first page sentence "There's so much to see in Chinatown." But it effectively imparts that message, so go check out Chinatown!
