Review of 'The electrical workers' on 'Goodreads'

Definitely a must-read on history of UE; unionism in the electrical industry; how Taft-Hartley, CIO, and anti-Communists broke up the largest Communist-led union in U.S. history. Interesting insights into GE and Westinghouse labor policies (especially regarding corporatism and welfare capitalism), the incentive wage system, seniority policies, workers changing desires regarding shorter hours vs. higher wages, the role of local factors in break up of UE (both internal to union and external).
