Darwin and the Art of Botany

This is a wonderful book. The author describes Darwin's studies in botany and supports it with excerpts from his writings. The text is organized into types of plants and each is illustrated with drawing and paintings of both Darwin's illustrations and other artists.

In other biographies we read about how detailed Darwin was in his work, but these examples illustrate what they mean.
