I was expecting a garbage filler volume based on the previous book's endnote and the description, but this was actually a good entry to the series and felt less trashy than usual. Lugh actually felt like an old man dealing with teenage hormones at times, instead of just an old man or a teenager as the story demands. The plot developments and revelations were interesting, and the girls were significantly better than the previous book.
All in all I feel less guilty than usual for enjoying this volume. Good stuff.
