Fascinating look into the 3D print tech.

Though it's probably a bit dated now, being 10 years old, this book was a great over view of 3D printing from home to industrial and medical aspects.

Some of the things in here were well-known to me, while some were interesting things I'd never heard. Good read for anyone interested in 3D printing or learning about why others are.

This book needed an editor. So many typos, garbled sentences, and repeated statements throughout.

Generally I don't think the insights of the authors have any major issues, but the book is a bit dated in some aspects and the authors feel very boomer-y as they write about some topics. The discussion around Minecraft was especially cringey. Technology seems to be edging in a different direction than what the authors primarily discuss, but many of their insights on societal, economic, and scientific implications of 3D printing remain relevant.

But when you find yourself stuck on a sentence that you can't quite parse because one of the words turns out to be nonsense, the insights kind of fall to the wayside. Just not a very well put together book.
