Review of 'Revolting Rhymes' on 'Goodreads'

I felt this was a bit weak, 6 famous kids stories

Cinderella
Red riding hood
Goldilocks
Three little pigs
Snow white
Jack and the beanstalk

Roald Dahl has slightly tweaked these stories, not tweaked them enough in my opinion, the man is so much more capable of doing more and making things far darker. The rhyming is ok, the stories all have the same rhythm so you move into each story seamlessly.

At Christmas in 2016 a animated version was made based on this book, they did a good job sticking to what was in the book, but with one slight modification, each story crossed over slightly and that was a great touch, it gives more depth to the book.
