More like 3 1/2 stars. I'm a sucker for any book about mountain climbing, so this book was right up my alley. But instead of Abominable, the title should have been Preposterous. Some of the equipment and climbing ability and stamina at altitude was just totally unbelievable and, well, I was kind of hoping the story was about the Yeti... LOL. Anyway it was good enough escapist fiction and enjoyable on the whole.
