a jumble of thoughts:
- there's a lot going on in this book (perhaps too much; i feel like we weren't given the time or space we needed for some plot points). some of the problems or side quests seemed to be unsolvable, and then all of a sudden, dw the ghosts that have been stuck here for 100+ years have accepted themselves in the span of a few weeks?! even so, most of it was cute and cozy. i hope fig and bee will be best friends forever~
- spicier than nadia el-fassi's last book! this is probably the first romance book i've read with power play, so it felt light compared to erotica i've read, but it makes sense that this was not a main focus (and again, there's so much going on that this is a very small side plot).

- i kind of wish that the two main protagonists decided to slow their careers down (like why were they so stressed + overworked even after setting boundaries and firing bad people and such) at the end, though that doesn't change the story i guess.
