(Reviewing the audiobook read by Chet Williamson.)

Surprisingly entertaining. Expected a gorefest, got Lovecraft.

The lore exposition towards the ends of the book is a bit lazy, and the BBEG getting a considerable power boost later in the story kind of takes you out of it. The overall experience is fun, though. Had not read Keene before, will read more of him now.

Chet Williamson, a key part of making an otherwise possibly more flawed experience a considerable listening delight.

--- Can't understate this: This stuff, on a long night drive, just what the doctor ordered. A strong recommendation from me, despite the conclusion of the story being weaker than its beginning.
