Way better then Dancers lament

5 stars

I have enjoyed this book way more then Dancers lament (not that DL was bad) Ian's writing is not nearly as complex as Stevens and I dont mind that, its a nice change. Deadhouse landing feels like a fan service done right. Story continues to follow my favourite duo Shadowthrone and Cotillion and how they become what they are in main series. Here they have finally hit Malaz and you are FINALLY getting to know other mysteries like Dassem, Laseen, Dujek, Crust, Urko, Nightchill, Tattersail and a certain marine named just Jack + many more. Story is simple yet engaging. I cant wait to jump into next two books!
