"A gleefully gruesome look at the actual science behind the most outlandish, cartoonish, and impossible deaths you can imagine. "What would happen if…?" As a small child, one asks this question annoyingly frequently. And it continues to be a question that constantly plagues us. Unfortunately, as we get older, we tend to believe that we already know the answer, in most cases; it's no longer important to ask. (This book makes me think of Elon Musk whp doesn't seem to think that he needs to go into it before making amazing plans and predictions that totally ignore it, but that's another issue…)
In many cases, the answer seems obvious, but as this book points out, there is often A LOT involved! Even if the original obstacle IS so passable, there are so many other considerations! This book addresses several curious and questionable conditions, frequently in a hilarious or ridiculous way. I loved it.
