I often think that instructional books like this leave much to be desired -- I'm not sure if it's that the authors aren't sure how to write the information on a child's level, or if I personally walk away feeling I learned less than I had hoped, but I actually thought this one did a wonderful job of explaining things in a way that could potentially aid a child into working up to a more advanced level of crochet where they could actually make it a lifelong hobby or even future business if they so choose.
