Surprisingly fun read, given its subject matter. The author has a vibrant and palpable love of the English language that shines through his every line. Clark thus models and demonstrates the versatility and purpose of cogent prose even as he describes it -- a true teacher. Worth the read for some practical nuggets of wisdom, such as the difference between "lie" and "lay."
